Wellness at Mickelson Middle School consists of physical education activities and a comprehensive health curriculum. Three instructors rotate between health and physical education while the teachers assistant stays in the gym.

The students rotate between health and physical education every three weeks. The curriculum is revised as new information is available pertaining to the units. Every five years, the curriculum is reviewed by a district-wide committee and new textbooks are purchased.
